Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personally Identifiable data is any data that can be used to identify an individual. This could be anything from your email address to your name and approximate location.

We collect and store the least amount of data possible, to enable use of this website; the ability to contact the owner, interact with posts, should you wish and sign up to receive the newsletter.

– Contact Forms

When you use a contact form, the details collected (Name and Email Address) will be sent directly to the site owner as an email, to enable a response, should one be deemed necessary.

Your details will not be added to the Newsletter if the contact form is used.

– Newsletter

If you sign up to the newsletter, your email is sent to our service provider, Mailchimp to enable you to receive updates. We do not ask for any further information from you and none will be added via any other means.

This provider uses a dual opt-in so your details will only be added to that system if you follow the confirmation email after sign-up.

Emails sent via this service will include an unsubscribe link that will allow you to remove yourself from the mailing list.

– Bandcamp Purchases

You may receive an email via the Mailchimp service to allow you to receive important updates about a purchase you have made from Bandcamp. This will only be related to the purchase you have made and you will not be added to the general newsletter.

You will still have the option to remove yourself from these updates, although it may mean you will not receive information on delays to your order or any other important information.

– Embedded content from other websites.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

– Analytics

The website may include the use of analytic cookies – these are anonymous, but do include an IP address. This data is used in instances of tracking traffic and the source of that traffic in order to gauge success of offsite marketing, social media posts or campaigns to drive traffic.

You can use your browser to switch off, or remove any cookies stored. Please see your browsers cookie settings for more details.

Who we share your data with

We only share data, where necessary, to carry out a service. If you sign up to the mailing list, your data (email) will be sent via a secure connection to MailChimp. You can get more information on MailChimp here:

What rights do you have over your data

As we only collect email addresses that have passed the dual opt-in process, you can asked to be removed from the mailing list. You can do this by using the contact form, or you can use the unsubscribe link that is at the bottom of any of the newsletter emails.

Using the contact form stores no information.

We hold no other information other than emails, for use with the newsletter or purchase update mailing.
